It is a family environment, and can seem to be a favored promotion process, but I've personally seen people from within the owners close group of friends and just as many if not more from outside that group be promoted. No matter what job you work, you're going to have those people who expect the company to just adore them because they think themselves to be special or exemplary, this one is no exception. I've been with the company for over 1 1/2 years now, have had the chance to work numerous positions, always got raises and advancement opportunities, but I also worked hard, well with others, and vocalized my intentions on what I was working towards to my superiors. Long term, I wouldn't say it's as easy to advance positions while working for the company as they claim during training to new-hires. Nectar began as a great opportunity for me as an entry level budtender within a new city/market, however, as time passed I felt my assets and knowledge were wasted along with my efforts commonly went unappreciated granted, there were some amazing coworkers both budtenders and managers who helped me grow as an employee and individual.
